Why put your products on the web?
There is a whole list of reasons why; the main ones being because your competitors are selling products and because if you don't sell it someone else will. Having a web site where customers can browse your products conveniently from their home is an added plus to consumers. Consumers like being able to visit you when they feel like it. It also shows that your company is up-to-date with today's technology and that your company is eager to keep improving FOR THEM. Here is a list of more reasons why a web site is a smart move:
  • Added exposure
  • Low-cost color advertising
  • Low overhead
  • Increased sales and revenue
  • Credibility
  • Sell your products 24 hrs. a day

But there is already a hundred sites selling the same things I am.
Just like in any city you will have competitors on the web, lots of them. Don't let this discourage you. You have the same chance as any business of doing well on the web. With a web site that has quality products and rich content you will see results. The key to making a difference for your company is unique, compelling content. We know how to make your site easy to use, pleasing to look at, and full of the content consumers are looking for.

Okay, so what does it take to have a web site?
Below details the process of creating a web site for a product based business. Since you're selling products on the web as well as advertising your business and offering product information you'll need a few things a basic web site doesn't require. All the steps you will need to take are outlined below.
  • Step One: You contact us for a FREE quote. Even if you use the quote calculator a written quote will be prepared for you. You are sent the quote on your new site, if we need more information we will contact you. If you approve the quotation we move on to Step Two and half of the approved quote is due.
  • Step Two: We schedule a meeting via the most convenient method for you to discuss details about the site. Here is where the look of the site, the site text, images, etc. will be decided. We'll also schedule a due date for materials that you may be providing. If you're providing us text or images it's important we receive them as quickly as possible to avoid delay to your site.
  • Step Three: The design of your site is in progress. You will be given a special address in which you may view the progress of your site creation. Comments and suggestions are welcome; we only ask that you remember that the design process is ongoing and what you see may not be the final version. A review date has been scheduled where any changes to the current design will be decided and where you'll give us any additional input or materials that you may have. During this time we will be entering your products that you'll be selling into a database. You will be notified when this takes place. Entering products in the database, depending on the amount of products, can take anywhere from an hour to a two weeks.
  • Step Four: A final review date has been scheduled and we will meet to discuss the finishing of the site. At this point the site is ready for your evaluation and any final changes and additions will be made. We will implement the changes and additions and notify you when they are done. At this point you approve the site. If you approve the site your final payment for the remaining balance and any additional work is due. Once we receive payment your site is uploaded to your server and is submitted to the search engines. You will receive a copy of all your files pertaining to the site in a zipped format. If you purchased site maintenance a schedule will be set up pertaining to hours and content to be maintained. If you purchased site marketing and advertising then we would proceed to Step Five.
  • Step Five: We will discuss which avenues you'd like to use to promote your site. Once an acceptable plan has been created we will begin the process. We will be in constant contact with you during the promotion and our success documented. You will receive weekly reports.

We've attempted to outline the web site design process so that you may better understand the designing process and know more what to expect. For an average e-commerce site you can expect the building of your site and the addition of products to a database to take approximately one month from start to finish. This time will vary depending on the number of products you wish to sell. If you have further questions they may be answered by visiting Services and Pricing Structure. We hope this area has helped you in understanding the process and we look forward to hearing from you!
